Sanja Hukovic

Sanja holds a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Brown University and an MBA from the University of Rochester. She completed postdoctoral research at UMass Amherst and the University of Missouri, Columbia. After 12 years in senior model validation roles at UBS in New York and London, Sanja joined JP Morgan as Head of Quality Assurance for Model Risk Governance and Review, where she developed a model risk score, a novel approach to quantifying model risk. Sanja now leads the AI and Model Risk Management function at LSEG, focusing on emerging risks associated with new model types. She also leads LSEG’s Quantum Analytics programme, working with industry, academic, and technology partners to explore practical applications of quantum computing in financial services, while developing approaches for quantum governance, assurance, and model risk management.
