Paul Murphy

Paul is a solo GP leading early-stage rounds for companies in the UK, Europe and the US. He was previously a GP at Lightspeed, where he led the Europe investment team, and before that a partner at Northzone. Paul was the first investor and board member for Mistral AI, and has backed Cusp AI, Neko Health and Proxima Fusion at early stage, amongst others. Prior to investing, Paul was co-founder and CEO of Dots, a mobile game studio which sold to Take-Two Interactive, and part of the founding team of Giphy, which sold to Meta. He started his career as an engineer at Microsoft, and holds a Computer Engineering degree from Virginia Tech and an MBA from IE Business School in Madrid.
