Danyal Akarca

Danyal Akarca is co-founder of Callosum, the first company backed by the UK Sovereign AI fund. Callosum is a research & technology company focused on the co-optimisation and orchestration of AI across any combination of chip architectures (including NVIDIA, AMD, TPUs, Cerebras and beyond). By working across the full stack from silicon to software, Callosum delivers orders-of-magnitude improvements in token cost efficiency, performance, and latency in heterogeneous AI while paving the road for new compute paradigms. Danyal holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and was previously a Schmidt Fellow in Electrical Engineering at Imperial College London. His research at the intersection of machine intelligence, neuroscience and compute has been published in several Nature journals and funded by both Schmidt Sciences and Advanced Research and Invention Agency (ARIA).
