Sophia Ignatidou

Sophia is the Group Manager for Artificial Intelligence Policy at the ICO, leading the UK data protection authority’s team of AI policy and technology experts and working with multidisciplinary and cross-functional teams. Her team develops ICO’s emerging positions on AI, including most recently generative AI, advises government on AI and data regulation and leads international cooperation at the G7, the OECD and the Global Privacy Assembly. Sophia is also the ICO sponsor of the AI project of the Digital Regulation Cooperation Forum (DRCF).
