Jeremy Kahn is an award-winning journalist and the author of Mastering AI: A Survival Guide to Our Superpowered Future. As the AI Editor at Fortune, he spearheads the publication’s reporting on artificial intelligence and other disruptive technologies. In addition to cover stories and features for Fortune magazine, he writes Fortune’s “Eye on AI” newsletter and co-chairs Fortune’s Brainstorm AI conferences. Before rejoining Fortune in 2019, he spent eight years at Bloomberg, where he covered tech, including artificial intelligence, as well as finance and economics. His writing has also appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek, The Atlantic, Smithsonian, The Boston Globe, Fast Company, The New Republic, and Slate. He is a former managing editor of The New Republic. From 2007 to 2011 he was based in New Delhi, India, and he has reported from throughout South Asia, as well as the Ivory Coast, Iraq, Venezuela, and most countries in Western Europe. Kahn began his journalism career at Fortune in the late 1990s. He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the London School of Economics. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he now lives with his family in Oxford, England.
